Crowned the Kingdom’s first hot-dip galvanizing facility, the magnitude of ISI Galvanizing Plant speaks volume. The annual production capacity of the Kandal-based plant is tens of thousands of metric tons, poising it to help meet the demand for galvanized coils in both the local and ASEAN markets. Established and operated by ISI STEEL, our steel processing and manufacturing company, the plant is also making it possible for Cambodia to become a regional player in the steel industry by producing more advanced, raw materials.

Galvanized steel is produced when steel is coated with molten zinc to protect it from corrosion, a crucial process required for many products utilizing steel that directly shape how we live and work. Used in industries like construction, telecommunications and automotive manufacturing, galvanized steel quietly strengthens our everyday lives.

Having a domestic galvanizing plant can open business opportunities in Cambodia, which imported hundreds of millions of dollars of steel in 2020. With locally produced coils from ISI Galvanizing Plant, ISI STEEL can now customize and refine their products at a lower cost and with higher efficiency. ISI Galvanizing Plant is also supplying other local steel manufacturers, and its reduced shipping time and import costs can give businesses the tools to expand their local production and manufacture more value-added goods in Cambodia.
