ISI Special Economic Zone, a landmark development by Cambodia’s ISI GROUP and its capital partners, was officially unveiled today at a grand launch ceremony held at ISI TOWER, the headquarters of ISI GROUP in Phnom Penh.

This event marks a major milestone with the commencement of the new economic zone’s operations. Over 200 distinguished guests attended the grand launch, including prominent figures from the Cambodian government such as His Excellency Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. Sok Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs and Chairman of Trade Policy Advisory Board (TPAB), H.E. Professor Dr. Chhem Kieth Rethy, Senior Minister and Chairman of Economic, Social and Cultural Council(ECOSOCC), His Excellency Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board of the Council for Development of Cambodia, and Mr. Kang Leng, Chairman of ISI GROUP and other board members as well as national and international business communities.

The ISI Special Economic Zone (ISI SEZ) is the first special economic zone situated next to the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway’s Prey Nob Rest Area, within 30 minutes of deep-seaports and an international airport, and just 1.5 hours’ drive from Phnom Penh City. This strategic location offers seamless connectivity and efficient logistics for export-oriented enterprises, making ISI SEZ an ideal gateway to regional and global markets. ISI SEZ is a groundbreaking development spanning over 800 hectares, setting a new standard for industrial growth and collaboration in Cambodia. In its first phase, over 200 hectares is being developed, making ISI SEZ more than just an industrial zone.

H.E. Say Samal showed his commitment to continue his support for all development initiatives, especially in Sihanoukville, believing that Sihanoukville plays an important role in the national economy. “We are not here only to celebrate the launching of the new special economic zone, we are here to also celebrate ourselves for all the efforts in creating the​ contemporary​ Cambodia, because we are a family. For me this is a great achievement,” said H.E Say Sam Al.  “I hope that this special economic zone will be able to produce finished products for export," he added.
