Together, husband and wife pair, Oknha Kang Meng Huy and Lok Chumteav Khun Heang laid the foundations for who we are and what ISI GROUP has turned into today. Our founders are humble, hardworking and honest people with a vision of a better Cambodia. They dedicated their lives to creating and innovating, finding solutions to problems most people would not have even realized existed. They set the values and are the role models upon which the company’s management continue to build ISI GROUP and are at the root of why ISI GROUP has continued to grow and thrive for more than 20 years.
Oknha Kang Meng Huy and Lok Chumteav Khun Heang formed ISI GROUP in 1997 with the founding business, International Steel Industrial, which was a color roofing sheet former. In 2001, our founders established their second business, Raksmey Phnom Penh Steel Industrial, Cambodia’s first steel pipe making factory, leading the way for the industry in the Kingdom. In 2006, these two companies merged to become ISI STEEL, as we know the company now. Today, ISI STEEL is one of Cambodia’s most trusted and successful companies.
Lok Chumteav Khun Heang is also the Founder of ISI GROUP’s KMH Foundation, which was set up in honor of Okhna Kang Meng Huy.
Cambodian born Kang Leng, CEO of ISI GROUP, spent a decade gaining international exposure, experience and education in Singapore and Australia. Leng first studied Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Marketing) and went on to complete a Master of Commerce (in Organizational Management) both at the University of New South Wales. Afterwards he worked as a Capital Gain Tax Accountant in States Street, Sydney, for two years.
Returned to Cambodia in 2009 with a passion for entrepreneurship that creates positive impacts and contributions to society, Leng first joined ISI GROUP as an assistant to the Founder. He became Managing Director of ISI STEEL, the founding company of ISI GROUP, in 2011 after having successfully transformed various functions such as the Operations, Accounting & Finance, Procurement, Sales and Marketing. He then became CEO of ISI GROUP in 2017, where he sits today.

Ms. Kang Chanbopha has been contributing to ISI STEEL and ISI GROUP since their formation. As a result of her extensive work experience in teams within the company, she has developed specialist knowledge across the steel and construction industry. Currently, Ms. Chanbopha leads ISI STEEL’s sales department nationally.

Born in Phnom Penh, Mr. Kang Hok holds a dual degree in Architecture and Entrepreneurship from Washington University in St. Louis. Upon graduation, he joined a design company, Kengo Kuma and Associates and Sou Fujimoto Architects in Tokyo, Japan in 2010. After returning to Phnom Penh, he launched HKA & Partners, an architecture and design practice with a vision to elevate design standards and building quality in the country.
In 2013, Hok founded Urbanland, a Cambodian company creating inspirational spaces for people to live, work and play in. Over the last decade, award-winning projects such as Raintree, Embassy Residences, Embassy Central and Treeline Urban Resort have showcased Hok’s compelling design philosophy, centered on understanding the needs of people to creatively and efficiently design spaces that transform their quality of life.
He is co-founder of Cambodia’s leading coffee chain, BROWN, and he sits in the board of ISI GROUP to provide strategic direction and insight. Urbanland is part of ISI GROUP’s property development division.

Graduated with a BA in Civil Engineering and MA Construction Project Management from Australia, Mr. Kang Sen returned to Cambodia in 2011 with a passion to help transform the construction industry. He founded Fuxin Steel Buildings in 2012, Cambodia’s first and biggest pre-engineered steel building company. In 2017, Mr. Kang Sen co-founded Mekong Homes, an affordable housing project that aims to improve the lives of rural Cambodians. As Managing Director of Fuxin, he focuses on promoting modular precast construction and is committed to promoting steel industry and the application of steel in construction. Fuxin held Cambodia’s first ever international Steel Forum in May 2018, which was attended by more than 300 high profile, international guests. Mr. Kang Sen sits in the board of ISI GROUP and provides expertise on strategic direction.

Educated in Singapore, receiving BA. Economics and Information Systems, Mr. Kang Somnang has been with ISI STEEL for over 6 years. During this time, he has gained experience across departments including warehouse & production, IT and Marketing. In 2012, he led the implement the ERP platform, which is still used today. In 2018, Somnang led the incorporation of Soundskool, Cambodia’s leading music educator and instrument retailer, into ISI GROUP, marking the creation of their new Investment division. Previously, Somnang held the role of Marketing Director and has recently been appointed as Assistant CEO.

Managing Partner at Sok Siphanna & Associates and advisor to the Council for Development of Cambodia, Dr. Sok has unique experiences and insights related to the development of the Cambodian legal system, the business environment and the intricacy of the commercial and investment law evolution in Cambodia. His vast hands on experience as a former Commerce Secretary of State (Vice Minister) in the Cambodian Government, where he worked extensively on issues related to commercial and investment legal framework, trade promotion, trade policies, trade development, and economic integration, gives him a unique perspective on both the macro and micro needs of businesses and foreign investors alike. In the area of policy formulation and policy mainstreaming he was responsible for leading a large multidisciplinary inter-agency task force to prepare complex action plans (including the National Legislative and Regulatory Agenda) and to negotiate successfully Cambodia's accession to the WTO. He was also instrumental in initiating the development of the first ever trade Sector Wide Approach (SWAp) for Cambodia. He was responsible not only for the preparation of the various commercial laws currently in force in Cambodia, but also for their defence in front of the Council of Ministers, the National Assembly and the Senate. H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana is advising ISI GROUP on overall business strategy, with particular focus on legal framework.

With more than 47 years’ experience, Mr. Yoshida Eisaku is a pioneer in the steel business and is a mentor to Mr. Kang Leng. Mr. Eisaku’s work experience includes Yodogawa Steel, Osaka, Japan and 15 years for SYSCO, Tawian. SYSCO was the first coated steel mill in Taiwan and under his leadership, Mr. Eisaku transformed the company into a benchmarking steel company in Taiwan. His philosophy guided the making of SYSCO and included using international levels of quality and service, improving safety, increasing transparency and valuing, training and developing staff. With these in place, SYSCO obtained international standards like JIS ISO and other credits, received national safety awards and grew to be the industry leader that it still is today.

Mr. Michael Goh has 30 years’ experience with financial institutions in charge of Asia Pacific region. His key areas of expertise are in Corporate Governance, Risk Management & Strategic Operations and Corporate Finance-Investment Banking.
Currently Mr. Goh is the Founder and Chairman of 3E-Fii Group which specializes in Corporate Financial Solutions for emerging markets in Asia. The Group provides (1) Finance Services: Accounting, Audit and Tax Advisory (2) Business and Financing Advisory: Business Strategy & Financial Management, Structured Capital Market Financing (3) Corporate Finance: Valuation Due Diligence for M&A supported by research. In addition, together with his team, they provide Customised Financial Training, Executive Search for their corporate clients, and Cross Border Wealth Management Services via his overseas strategic partners.
Mr. Goh also provides Board-Director role service to a risk management association, MDFIs in emerging markets, financial institution and family conglomerate group. He has held Executive Management positions in financial institutions including AIG Group and Standard Chartered Bank, Credit Agricole CIB, ABN Bank and BEA Hong Kong Bank. Mr. Goh has also led mentoring and training initiatives with global rating agencies across Asia and Europe.

Representing China Productivity Center (CPC), Mr. Wei has been working on Total Quality Management (TQM), with the implementation of 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) program, a management approach for long-term success. A 5S program focuses on having visual order, organization, cleanliness and standardization. The results from the program are: improved profitability, efficiency, service and safety.
